Contact Doug
A native of Chicago’s south side, Doug provides a diverse and well-rounded base of knowledge from multiple industries to lead his partners in effectively managing the risks they face. Starting his professional career in culinary, transitioning to HVAC, then commercial building construction before eventually opening Sanctuary Risk Management, a division of GLS Insurance Group, in 2004, Doug offers a unique and valuable perspective to each client he serves. Doug is an active member in his home church and has long been involved in local non-profits and churches serving in whatever capacity he can find. His passion for church and non-profit has led to an opportunity to serve these organizations through risk management and helping them grow and mitigate the ever-changing landscape that they face. When he’s not volunteering with one of his partners, Doug and his wife, Shannyn, love spending time with their two daughters and one son, hanging out with family and friends and coaching their kids’ sports teams.
